Reasons Behind My Design Decisions

Color Scheme

The website's color palette includes red, white, and black. Red was chosen to evoke emotions like passion and excitement. It's a color that naturally draws attention, so l used it thoughtfully and contrasted it with white and black to capture users' focus and excite them about the featured location.

Typography

For typography, I chose serif fonts for headers and sans-serif fonts for body text. Serif fonts lend a classic, professional feel, conveying trustworthiness, which aligns with the content's tone. For paragraphs, l used sans-serif fonts as they're easier to read in longer text blocks, enhancing legibility and providing a modern, clean aesthetic. The combination of serif and sans-serif creates a visual contrast that grabs attention and keeps the design engaging.

Images

I selected high-quality images with colors that match the site's palette, aiming to maintain a cohesive look throughout. Using high-resolution, well-matched images helps give the site a polished, professional feel and enhances visual consistency.

Button Style

The button is relatively small to create contrast with the surrounding text, making it more noticeable and inviting. I applied a corner radius for a softer, friendlier appearance, as rounded corners tend to feel approachable and help direct users' focus inward. The red color reinforces its visibility, capturing attention immediately. Placing the button at the center of the page enhances its accessibility and ensures users won't miss key actions, while also creating a balanced, symmetrical layout that improves the overall visual flow.
